About.

My practice is inspired by the experience of a space in a landscape. At the moment that place is Svalbard in the high Arctic. I aim to portray my memories of the discovery of a place through colour, shape and composition. To share the experience of being totally immersed in the immense Arctic space. Translating the interactions of colour and shape as the light reflects on the ice and the sea. The feeling of the constantly moving and ever-changing environment. So beautiful on occasions and yet hostile, dangerous and life threatening on others. The power and the strength of nature, and its uncertain outcomes.
